CEG PRAYER TEAM
*The following Scriptures are helpful to pray when dealing with specific issues. Memorize them. Chew on them. Let them transform you! God meets you right where you are. He knows you, what you are going through, where you have been and He loves you!
Pray for PEACE when stressed:
“You will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on You and I trust in You.”
Pray for PROVISION when faced with lack:
“God is able to make all grace abound toward us; that we, always having all sufficiency in
all things, may abound to every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8
Pray for PROTECTION when feeling threatened:
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper…”
“The Lord shall preserve me from all evil;
He shall preserve my soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever more.”
“I am with you always.”
“I will lift up my eyes to the hillsFrom whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.”
“The bolts of our gates will be iron and bronze, and our strength will equal our days.
There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help me and on
the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is our refuge, and underneath are everlasting
arms. He will drive out our enemy before us, saying, ‘Destroy him!’”
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
“For I know the plans I have for you. Plans of peace and not of evil, Plans of prosperity
and not of calamity, to give you hope and a future.”
“Now may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound
in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
“Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins,
might live for righteousness; by whose wounds we were healed.”
1 Peter 2:24
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”
LOSS OF A LOVED ONE
"Look! God's dwelling place plce is now among the people, and He will dwell with them.
They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away
every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old
order of things has passed away."
Finally, remind yourself often of your identity in Christ:
* I am a child of God. (John 1:12)
* I am completely forgiven. (Colossians 1:14)
* I am tenderly loved by God. (Jeremiah 31:3)
* I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me. (1 John 5:18)
* I have been given a spirit of power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)
