CEG ANNOUNCES COMEDY WRITING WORKSHOP – ONE WINNER MAY HAVE THEIR TV PILOT PRODUCED
We are excited to announce a super amazing CEG Comedy Writers Workshop with one of our recent CEG Live! guests and member of our great big faith family, Jim O’Doherty. Many of you will remember he is a creator, show runner, writer and comedian of over 300 episodes of TV including 3rd Rock From The Sun, The Tracy Morgan Show, Disney’s Kickin It and more. Join us starting Saturday June 2nd for this amazing mentorship program where participants will get the opportunity to be mentored in the creation of an original TV pilot. The winning script may be produced as either a pilot or sizzle reel. This is a cool hands on mentorship opportunity for comedians and writers to learn how to be better storytellers and content creators.
Writers will be taken through the creation of a TV pilot with 4 semi-finalists going into the “Writers Room” similar to actual production on network TV. All participants have the opportunity to submit their pilot script for production consideration by a CEG team of professionals mentoring the next generation of film makers.
Why? Because CEG is here to be a support to Chrisitians in entertainment in their faith journey and helping them to become better storytellers and content creators. We need to up our game! Jim O’doherty and our CEG team are here to mentor the next generation of TV and film makers. Join us! and help us spread the word!

SCREENWRITER SOUGHT FOR WHIMSICAL ADVENTURE FAMILY FILM
compensation: WGA or non-union TBN – strong pay according to creditsFamily entertainment production company seeks screenwriter for first draft on a broad audience feature film. The script will be based upon an original story from a synopsis that has already been written. We are looking for someone with experience either through screenwriter competitions or produced content. This is a very whimsical adventure story targeted at young teens. Think Swiss Family Robinson crossed with ___________ (a movie we will be happy to tell you about if there seems to be a strong potential match). To submit please include a bio, link to IMDb (if applicable), story tag line, synopsis or treatment (within email only), and writing sample. The producer states they would also love to hear about your interest in this type of storytelling. Please include your place of residence. They are not adverse to writer submissions outside of the Los Angeles area. Be sure to mark your submission with “CEG Screenwriter” in the subject. : ) Thank you so much! CEG SINGER AND MUSICIAN AUDITIONS
Many of you have asked how to get involved musically with CEG. Our annual auditions are happening now. If this is you or you know someone who might be a great fit we would love to hear from you. The CEG band called TRIBE leads worship at CEG events and is currently writing original music (whoo hoo!) and getting ready to record. They may begin to lead at other events in the near future. In addition CEG will host a revival event in the fall. We are also seeking singers and musicians for that. Here is the break down. We hope you can help us get the word out. ❤ 1. Strong singer to join the CEG Band, TRIBE. Age 18 to 26ish. Please note if you rap or beat box as well. Ethnic diversity encouraged. 2. Musicians of all ages. 3. CEG ARTISTS GROUP
A small group of CEG artists are coming together to encourage each other in our faith journey as artists in entertainment. We are also preparing art for the upcoming CEG Revival this fall. YESTERDAY TODAY UPDATE & OP TO JOIN POST-PRODUCTION TEAM
CEG is working through post-production on the docu-feature we produced called Yesterday. This is the story of evangelical leader, Henrietta Mears who was the founder of Gospel Light, Forest Home and the Education Director at 1st Presbyterian Hollywood. She was highly influential in Billy Graham, Jim Rayburn, Bill Bright, Louis and Coke Evans and hundreds of others lives and ministries. The goal is to have it completed for an event at Forest home in the fall. We expect to have a small screening as well in the Los Angeles area. However, it will be used as a teaching tool on servant leadership with a plan to distribute through churches.

Our prayer today on National Day of Prayer and every day is for peace and unity within Christians in entertainment. Christ has saved us and given us His Spirit. This removes any roadblock to unity with other believers… no matter how big of a difference we have with each other in thoughts of the ways of the world. The unity we have through Christ with every believer within the industry overpowers the differences we have with them. Politics, lifestyles, choices, sin, error… all of these things must not be a barrier to unity within the body of Christ. So today, as Christians in entertainment we pray for unity. We pray for servant hearts to serve you, and others Lord. We pray that the things of this world that create division among us will be removed in the name of Jesus. We pray for unity with Christians in entertainment, one together as the body of Christ to accomplish your will. We pray for peace and unity! 4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; Ephesians 4:1-4

CEG is currently preparing for its first ever screenwriting workshop (as noted above). Many within the community are artists working to make it in the industry. At the same time, CEG is also a non-profit working to cover costs of the ministry.
