Step #6: to Cultivate A Servant Heart: ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER So many times we look at those in the spotlight and that is where we wish we could be. When we are on a set we might long to be the lead actress or director or think our project should have been the one being made or distributed. But we should try to avoid these types of envious thoughts and approach both our personal relationships and career from a biblical perspective. 11The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.… Matt 23: 11 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Phil. 2:3-4 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ … ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. So as Christians in entertainment with servant hearts, how can the gifts, talents and resources we’ve been given be used to honor and serve God as well as our brothers and sisters in Christ? What does servanthood look like for a Christian in entertainment?
