Serve One Another Humbly With Love

The Apostle Paul challenged the Galatians to walk in the Spirit, not the false teaching that making a lot of laws and following them would give us freedom from sin. Every day we struggle with the desires of the flesh, our personal desires and desire for gain that are ruled by emotions, drive for success in the industry, recognition and more. “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 5:13-18 As Christians in entertainment, we seek the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance every day to put aside our bondage of the flesh, things of this world that are not of the Spirit. We have freedom every day to make the choice to walk by the Spirit, ask God to fill our hearts with His love and help us to love like Jesus. Living by the Holy Spirit we overcome the desires of the flesh and walk in love. Cultivating a servant heart, being led by the Holy Spirit, loving like Jesus takes time and seeking God every day, but the fruit will come. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24
