Teach Me Your Ways God

Step #3 to a Servant Heart: Be led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit shows us how to avoid the pitfalls. “Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.” Psalm 27:11

We must desire to embrace God’s word. It is a choice. We choose to be led by the Holy Spirit by embracing God’s word in the choices we make every day, the direction for our life, decisions about what projects we do and don’t take, who to date or marry, what we do with our time and resources, what we meditate on, how we treat others, and respond to challenges on set or in the workplace, and how we spend our free time and more. We must develop a heart full of passion for the word of God in order to be led by the Holy Spirit. I choose to delight in the law of the LORD and to fill my mind with the word of God by meditating on it day and night. Psalm 27:11 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way of the sinner or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of way, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Psalm one and 27 encourages us to be led by the Holy Spirit and walk upright with God in a fallen world.
