What choice do we make when there is no fruit in the dreams we have been pursuing within the ministry of entertainment? It is a joy to rejoice in the Lord when we share our victories with Him & come to God with praise & worship. But are we choosing to rejoice in the Lord when there is little fruit from our efforts? Does it often feel like people who aren’t walking with God see more success than ourselves? Or that the enemy is standing in the way of the dreams that God has given you to bring to the world through the highly influential medium of film or TV? video games Or music?
Habbakuk 2:1 “I will stand at my watch station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.” There was absolute destruction going on around Habakkuk & his people. What was his response? Like Habukkuk, we see the unfairness of wicked destruction of people & projects & even dishonoring God. Habakkuk placed himself in the watchman position. He waited patiently for God’s response. He kept a look out watching the enemies but put himself in the best position where he waited on God’s response. We can’t possibly fight the massive destruction of evil on our own, but God can. We need to be in constant prayer, praying that we will walk in God’s will every day, confessing our sins to God and repenting, singing hymns of praise to God, rejoicing in who He is. We need to be in communion with other believers, in small groups with people who we share our struggles, dreams, disappointments & triumphs. We need to place ourselves in the watchman position so that we will be walking according to God’s will every day & we will hear & know His direction.
We may not understand what God is doing in the moment but when we walk according to God’s will we have faith that he is working through the storm.
